The Ground Got Harder

Nope. Not going to use the 1945 state of the art closed cell foam ground pad. What was I thinking?  Maybe for one or two bad night’s sleep, but not if I want to EVER go again.

Here it is once more. The recurring theme. I’m too old for that shit. I need air under me. At least 3 inches. Big Agnes here I come! I should pay attention when my through hiker friend speaks. I heard her say, ” Not me! I need something softer to sleep on.” I heard her, assessed that I was different. I didn’t need softer. Ha! I NEED SOFTER, TOO!

My friend Rob said that I need a tatoo on the back of my hand… “I am 65”  He’s right.

So. Back to the internet. I get paid today.
