Nope. Loitering is not for me. No time for that. There is much to do.
I’m back. Maybe 100% back. What a tough couple of years. Doubting myself. Being afraid. Stuck. Being stuck, that was the worst of it.
That’s the bike I just upgraded. With some of the packs I’ll be loading up. It’s a step through. Much easier to manage. I don’t get on and off so well anymore. Just an adjustment. Another adjustment. That’s the choice I have, to either adjust and be myself, challenging myself, or go to the recliner and quit. I was close to quitting.
It has been really hard to get back to where I am now. Now I’m back. Getting on with life. My life. The life I love.

Those are front fork packs. Just a way to balance the weight a little better. All the weight, plus my extra weight, over the back wheel might be too much for it. This way with some weight up front, my wheels have a better chance of surviving the bike trip we’re taking. 50 miles on the D and O Canal path. Basically from Harper’s Ferry to Washington DC, along the Potomac River.
I am crazy excited.
Then. Up to Massachusetts, to finish the AT in that state, and then down to begin North Carolina. I’m hoping to do NC and VT in the next year. Then, not sure. Oh, in October we’ll do the rest of that bike ride. But this time over 200 miles. Pittsburgh to Harper’s Ferry. The Great Allegheny Passage. The GAP trail, and the D and O from Cumberland, MD to Harper’s Ferry.
That would be the finish of the 330 mile bike trip we’re starting next week.
I’m so glad the energy is back. Getting all my medications in order and seeing my Therapist, Ginger, that’s what did it.
Well first I had to leave the recliner. I still love the recliner, I just love life more.
A.I.

Great to see you back π
