I grew up on Sundays in there. St James Lutheran Church on Rt 152 in Chalfont PA. Some of my clearest memories are attached to the attaching of bow ties. Clipping them on my collar around 10AM almost every Sunday. It was always at that time, even when is was not really that time.

Twice a year we would be locked out or an hour late. That, and singing are extra clear. Dad taught us to sing in church. He would point at the notes in the hymnal as we sang the different parts. Tenor, Baritone; I learned them all. Music and my steady sense of humor were my father’s greatest gifts. I can think of nothing better to have learned from him. I hope my girls have gotten that from me. I think they have. I feel good about that.
