Bike Packing

I love to camp at Green Lane Park! Clean. Quiet. Trees.

And friends!

Trees are essential. Wait, there’s water as well!

My bike and Green Lane Reservoir.

Trees and water essential. And fire.

Safe fire rings.

Here’s my campsite!

This is my third time here this year. The Perkiomen bike trail passes directly through the park. So, I can train here and keep my camping chops up to par.

It takes practice to do this stuff. Fitness and practice.

I’m crippled at the moment. I did something to my L4-L5 disc area. Or rather, I’ve been doing nothing to keep my core strong. It’s essential for my lower back health. I left it go.

All I did was go up the stairs! Right foot up, push and really sharp pain, followed by Sciatic Nerve activity.

I say activity because it’s not just pain. Tingling and numbness arrives as well. I have low volume upset almost all the time down my right leg, all the way to my great toe. (Sounds more educated than big toe.) I know the nerve path intimately.

So now I need to let it quiet down. Not sure how long this will take.

Just another day at a time thing. I have a bunch of those.

Problem. We get the keys to our new home, (rental) This week. We will start moving tomorrow. What a great time for a back injury…

I’ll get it sorted. Start stretching and strengthening TODAY. NOW. COFFEE.

Bye.

3/4 In.
